Looking tastefully restrained, the S6 is distinguished by sportier fascias, aerodynamic side skirts,
and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Additionally, we can expect the production model to feature
a revised grille and faux aluminium mirror casings.

Under the hood, power will likely be provided by a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine which will also
be used in the Bentley Continental GT. It is reported that this engine is using a single turbo version
in the Bentley and will produce 415 hp. However, this is no good for the S6 as it's less than the
outgoing 5.2-litre V10 that develops 429 hp. Surely, Audi will engineer output to be higher.
Exactly how much, we'll have to wait and see.

 

If the 2012 S5 "refresh" for the front and rear is going to look like what is shown in the S6, not sure I like it better than the current 2011.

Looks completely boring. Audi needs to get their act together. I'm eagerly awaiting the MkIII RS6, but if it looks this boring, I'll be disappointed.

Hmmm....I was expecting a bit more aggressive styling with the new S6. I've had my 2011 S6 now for about three months, such a great car. The V10 rumble will be sorely missed...

if that was a pic of a6 i would be complaining it looks too boring and tame...whomever approved it should be slapped and shown pics of the competition

 

One turbo is fine-just so long as it is one LARGE turbo.

 

May be taking "understated elegance" a bit too far.....

 

It´s just the S6 not the RS6, i mean Audi´s S-Versions have always looked like the standard A-models with S-line package + a sportier exhaust. The S6 competitors are the 550i and the Mercedes E500, which look even less special than the S6. they could have done more but i think Audi doesn`t want the S-models to be too close to the RS-models.

 

Like everyone else is saying, it needs to look more aggressive.

 

Looks like a shorther A8 which I am not liking the new style of either.
