A3 S Line

What are your thoughts/opinions of this car with the 2L turbo engine?

I am thinking about one of these or a MCS (JCW) for the wife. After I drive then I will make my choice. Does anyone know what they will cost?

I think the S3 is cool...small engine and 265 hp!
an A3 S-line is still a great choice

I didnt buy the A3 cause it was approaching my A4's price.. but at the time the DSG tranny wasnt out.. now i want one..LOL

Theyre very nice cars, with a $500 flash it adds 50hp, and very noticeable..
approaching 300 lb torque

oh btw, at that time i think the 2.0T A3 wasnt offered in quattro, and i needed a snowmobile, my choice was 3.2 A3 and a top end Sline A4 quattro..

I really like how the A3 S-Line looks, however, it isnt something i'd want to drive every day... or even buy probably. If I'm going to sport an audi hatch, its gonna have to be an S4 Avant, or if Audi would wise up and bring the RS4 Avant over here, one of those.

My GF has an A3 3.2 Quatro, comes with the S-line package. It's much nicer than the standard 2.0. The seats have more bolstering and beautiful white stitching on black leather. The spoilers are nice and understated. The 18" 2 pc. wheels are beautiful but a pita to clean.

It's fun to drive. She doesn't use the DSG shifters, chicks, but I have. It's fun to do your Schumi impression on the on/off ramps.

Probably more tuning potential with the 2.0 and it's lighter.

yea, i would say that the DSG in the 3.2 is definitely one of its strong points. Its a shame that they dont offer quattro in the 2.0T yet

the 3.2 DSG A3 is a nice car. For the $40k they cost id rather have a 2.0T A4 avant.
