R8 pricing from the LA Auto Show

Extracted from an article in Fourtitude on the Audi display at 2 Rodeo Drive after the first night of the show;

"Audi AG board member Ralph Weyler addressed guests, making mention once more of Audi’s intended R8 pricing. To quote the German executive, the R8 will sell for about “$110,000 nicely equipped”.

Not bad for a cut-down Gallardo, but I'd take a GT3 or V8 Vantage for $110-ish K...

I think it looks great in dark gray or black.

Decisions, decisions. Not sure which is a better bet. Used Gallardo or the R8. I'll have to see it in person. Looks very promising, but I was hoping for sub 100k.

Consider that used Gallardo service will cost new Gallardo prices...

On Wednesday night took Arling, Eric, and Chad to the R8 preview in Beverly hills.......the car was great. Lots of room behind the seats for a golf bag and decent luggage storage in front. Its more of a GT car then anything

definitly well priced!!! well in the sector of a fairly equipped C4S and SL550... definitly worth considering and be top of the list if i were in the market for a everyday GT... kudos to Audi for making great cars in recent years and hope they will continue to do so!!!

I saw the car in person at the LA Auto Show and I fell even more in love with it, than I already was. It looks AMAZING!! I think it's very well priced, you get a whole lot for what you pay.

The R8 is a much more relaxed car over the Lamborghini...quite the same car in terms of style but two very different souls!
So if you prefer a fast car, go the the G...if not the Audi fits you better

It also kinda depends on your personality. If you like to be very showy, you should go with the lambo, but if you like to be a little more inconspicuous and only get the attention of people who know their stuff, its all about the audi.

The R8 will break every Audi stereotype. The days of flying below the radar is over for the R8 owner. The RS4 lives the typical Audi stereotype - only those who know its characteristics will heed its presence. As for the R8, it's sculpted aluminum shell presented in any given place and time will be like a grand theatrical appearance. Even Volvo drivers will take notice!

I think it's an awsome car, will give PAG a run for their money. If it had a backseat(and I wasn't gettin' a TT) I'd buy one in a second.

I would wait till next year for two reasons
1) Debugging
2) the V-10 outta the G will be an option on the S Model.
