Serious buyer in Rocklin, California

Hello,

I am in the market for a 2014 Panamera S or 4S with <20k miles. We go to Tahoe frequently so I am leaning towards the 4S but am finding my budget of $75k is leading me more to the S version. I've spent a lot of time looking for these the past month and have a pretty good idea of the dealer inventory out there...very little to be honest in my price range. I am about to retire and we are buying this as a present so I have some time but would still like to purchase one in January or February if possible.

I've learned from you that a used Panamera needs to come as CPO and some specific options that appeal to me. I would appreciate any advice you might have to make this purchase a realty...maybe I am not looking in the right place (eBay, etc). I would prefer to stay within my budget and would like to stay with a 2014 if possible. Thank you in advance for your advice/help. I will post pictures when I purchase one...hopefully before March!

Dave

I have a Panamera S with sports package, and as far as differences go compared to the 4S I doubt there is much aside from the 4WD/All wheel drive (anyone correct me if im wrong). I mentioned the sports package (sport exhaust, sport and sport+ modes) if you could get a Panamera with a package it would get you as close as you can get to a GTS.

Good luck with your search. There isn't a lot of inventory out there. It took me awhile to find a PTT that I was happy with.

Thanks for your lead here...I was looking for a 4S or S version but took a test drive in a 2015 GTS this morning. I was really impressed with the handling, acceleration and overall driving experience. Now I just have to find one or around my budget. I did ask about the car in Vegas...expect a reply shortly from them. Do you know if a 2013 is fundamentally different than a 2014? Should I worry it is that "old" even with 5k miles and not a CPO vehicle? Thanks again for replying to my first post...much appreciated.

Regards,

Dave

For sake of re-sale and peace of mind, I would stick to CPO.

Do you think Chain Control will still make you chain-up a 4S?

The 2013 4S is going to be much more like the GTS you drove than the 2014. The 2013 is the 4.8L V8, while the 2014 uses the 3.0L twin turbo engine. I have a near new condition 2013 4S available and well under your budget.
