Thumbs up Switzer Exhaust for 996Turbo Never used

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $1500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): OH
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

Hi guys, I happened to be at Switzer Wednesday checking out our project 991Turbo and since they are no longer tuning 996 Turbos, I picked up some of there exhaust's that were left over collecting dust in a corner. I figured there would be some guys on 6speed that would love an opportunity to get a new exhaust for used money. I am not a parts retailer, just a guy that likes helping when he can so here you go...

Brand new in box, Muffler - Cat Bypass - Tips - and all hardware. They retailed between $4-5k new. Don't say I never think about you guys, $1,500!! I have a couple, first come first serve. I will either ship Fed Ex or USPS, shipping not included. PM me if interested.

Pardon the newb question, but does cat bypass means that there is no cat at all?

So it will trigger a CEL, right?

Yes, there's no cats. CEL will be triggered, however there are ways around it such as ECU tune, or use of O2 extenders / mini cat simulators. These take the sensor out of the direct path of the exhaust stream.

Are you sure this fits the 996? The turbo flange is a three bolt, the 996 uses four.

Guys, I don't know how, but I did not re-tune this 996TT cab and there are NO check engine lights to speak of after half dozen start/stop cycles plus 50miles!! Although, Tony just sent me something special...........tbc
