Pops is interested in Flying Spur
Hey Guys,
My father is interested in getting a new Flying Spur. Do dealers offer any discounts on this car? Or is it a MSRP only type of deal?
Also can anyone share what their leases look like? TIA!

If one cannot get a decent price in this market something is wrong!

I have not heard many folks down on the Spur, and it would be helpful to me to know what your experiences were.
I can say I'd never buy M-B again after what I have been through with them on a CL500. So it surprises me to hear how high you are on the S600.

The Bentley always had a steering wheel shake. The A/C condenser went out 2 times within 1000 miles, the navigation went out 2 times within 1000 miles. The interior is beautiful, but I am much happier with my S600. I paid 135 for my S600 and it has reclining rear seats, pano roof, ac/heated seats front and rear, massage seats front and rear. The flying spur didnt have any of those options and was 185k.

My mother doesn't really like it much either (compared to her previous S600).
The Flying Spur's technology is also prehistoric compared to the S-Class. The navigation system sucks and it doesn't drive as well as an S600 either.
Is he buying the Flying Spur for the perceived image? If not, tell him to get an S65 AMG.

i would bet you would be able to drive a good deal on a slightly used version and still have the peace of mind of a full warranty. perhaps this might be a smart place to open dialogues with dealers. if they have new models they are keen to shift or deal on then im sure it will come out as part of the conversation and you will find out how they are comparing against msrp without directly asking

Why does your father exactly want a Continental Flying Spur?
When I hear the bad things about a Conti FS on this forum, I would go for an S 65 AMG (W221), or even an Arnage. But I don't know your budget and prices in the US...
