ECU Tuning Group - 2012 Bentley Continental GT
A few days ago, the Bay Area ETG Dealer had the pleasure of working with the 2012 Bentley Continental GT. We have been reprogramming Bentley GT's since they first came out nearly 8 years ago. We bring this car up to 650hp & 620lbs tq. Common features along with increased power are: raise the rpm, remove the hesitation/flat spots, enhance exhaust volume in 2nd and 3rd gear, improve the throttle response and shifting.
The brand new 2012 Mercedes SLS Roadster was also worked on along with a CLK63 black series and BMW M5.
For all inquiries, please contact the sales department at 877.813.9700 ext. 2.

The car is a full on rocket! I can't describe how fast this cars is.
You can speak to Chris of AfterFX Customs in Connecticut or Harry of 212 Motoring in New York about their experiences with the tune. We tuned both of their Bentley GT's.

It's always a pleasure dealing with the guys over at ETG. The Bentley tune is a great improvement over the stock programming and we couldn't be happier with it. Thank you guys again, and look for more to come on this car.
This tune is great, significant improvement over stock in all regards. The power gains are a night and day difference from stock and as a bonus it sounds better too. As usual we are very happy with the results from ECUTG.

The ECU upgrade is completely undetectable to factory diagnostics. As a matter of fact, we tune for one of the biggest Bentley dealerships in the world.
What are the down sides to doing a tune like that? Do you turn up the boost pressures? Does the tranny hold up to power like that? Does the fuel economy suffer much? Did you have to change the exhaust system to get that power?
There is no down side to reprogramming the ECU. We eliminate all hesitation/flat spots, increase volume in 2nd and 3rd gear, and remove the speed limiter all while decreasing fuel consumption by 10-15%. The power gained is solely from tuning the ECU and with no additional modifications such as exhaust. As for the transmissions, we have never had an issue. Although these engines are capable of holding 1000hp, the transmission and driveshaft can't.
Thank you for the response. Can you explain the increase in volume in 2nd and 3rd gears? Why not in all the gears? I did not know the GTC had a speed limiter, elaborate please. Would adding a cat bypass pipe be of any benefit?
The GT has a valve controlled exhaust, it can switch different volumes, so the car sounds good but still is street legal (especially in Europe loudness is not welcome for registered cars).
This way they overcome the laws.
Not all gears are loundness limited, just the gears where they measure the noise level for the decision whether a car is street legal or not. Usually they measure at speeds somewhere between 20 and 70 km/h (might not be exact, but something like that).

Hello, does anyone have any feedback to what the Doc is asking? Also I would like to see some dyno stats for these claims. I am in the market for an ecu upgrade that doesn't turn my engine lights on. I had an ecu upgrade from an aftermarket tuning company and it wasn't all they had claimed. Left my engine lights on, which I had to run a Vag on just to keep an eye on my ride.
