Naim and GTC @ Show
Hi Guys (where are the ladies?),
Am at a high-end audio show in Denver and Naim is here with a nice white GTC. i really like the new head unit and it only makes me want to trade the 06 CGT for a newer GTC. DAMN!!! If anyone is nearby tag me via PM and let's hookup. Anywho, some pics below and yeah, that's me in a (GASP) suit.

A most humble thanks my friend.
They say the clothes make the man... and M2M custom Italian suits (linen/silk) feel great too! There is something about M2M that just feels right. Just be warned as once you go M2M it is difficult to go backwards with the usual off the rack stuff. Note to self, when posing for a photo DO NOT pull down on the center of the suit. Oh well, guess i blew my first chance at a modeling job
LOL
BTW, i like the pant length a bit longer per se as too many people sit down for interviews on TV, etc and their pants then look like 'high waters' with too much sock exposed (imho).

I love suits. Mostly Armani in the old days. I am here in So Cal now and it's pretty warm. Winter is coming so now I get to play dress up. Back East, the weather was so cold most the time, I had to a have a nice wardrobe. Here in Cali, I am just in shorts and jeans.
Love Cali and will be at Newport in May or thereabouts so perhaps dinner with you, your sig other and myself and gal. And yes, seems you already know those are M2M Armani suits. Oh SNAP i said suits plural. Ok, see below for today festive, season appropriate fall suit/shirt/tie combo. For shoes i like A. Testoni. You? As for Armani, their clothes, even the lower end Armani Exchange off the rack fun youthful clothing, really fits my structure and drapes amazingly well.
Now I feel underdress. My sig other will used this as an excuse to go shopping. For sure May will be perfect. Hopefully my other Bentley is finished so we can test her out. Damn Steven, we both are slim so we do look good in suits.
Wedgeduck, so what's wrong with a little shopping? Unless it is one of those 'power shopping' trips. Remember doing that a bit ago and trust me, you do not want to know the final total of that single day (it included Armani, Frette, think i got another Patek too....).
Wedgeduck, mind if i borrow your no-limit black card for the day
Besides, you are slim so get out there and find yourself clothes that 'make the man'! You may want to try the relatively inexpensive Armani Exchange, they have some funky clothes yet also some fairly standard seasonal stuff too. The fabric is pretty good, build quality better than expected and since you are skinny you may find they fit you very well. Can't hurt to try it?

Don't get me started on shopping.
I will get carried away. It's crazy, when I was in younger. I loved clothing. I chose my own fabrics and had shirts, suits and even shorts custom tailored to my liking. As I have gotten older, it's casual wear. And the majority of the time nowadays, I am in a pair of jeans or shorts. No business meetings to really attend. I think I might own more wetsuits than dress suits.
you know us Californians, the only good suits is a wetsuits..

Since you are our resident sound critic, what do you think about the Naim in more detail? You do realize that you lose your ski hole when the Naim is an option?
Have never done a direct side-by-side Bentley sound system comparo, yet have heard both. Though yes, have been an musician since 1974 and a journalist in the field of consumer electronics concerning high-end audio for well over 15 years. Was invited to a special Bentley/Naim Audio event in 2008 when they first announced their partnership, and you can feel free to read my assessment at:

Alas, we can't just change the main head unit as it is VERY integrated into the car's overall computer control system.

Grwisher, this forum is better because you are in it my friend. In all my years of hanging out with 'superstars' like BB King, Tom Jones, Rush, U2, George Clinton, Bo Diddley, The Who, Chick Corea and far too many others to mention.... in the end we are all just people. Trying to enjoy life, have fun and perhaps even make a living at something we love. We put our pants on one leg at a time, etc.
PS: If you met me around 1986 you'd see me as a very young 20-ish kid who is totally broke, homeless and psudo living on the beach who has been literally living out of his car for the past six months and still fighting his own (chemical addiction) daemons.
PS: Here's the 'easy math'... studio/musician....Miami.... the 80's. Perhaps the real question should be, "Are you really sure you want to hang out with a guy like me?"
