My dad seems to have a real issue with his Bluetooth phone system in the Bentley. It seems to be very crackly pretty much all the time and also when your on the other end of the call you can hear a bad drone that sounds like loud engine noise in the back ground.

I would have expected it to be very clear but its far from that and does seem to crackle and disconnect regularly?

Anyone have any idea?

 

have you checked on the bentley website to see if it is compatible . Also,does the car have a privacy handset,

 

its an iphone 5 and i'm not sure what the privacy handset is?

 

go to bentleymotors.com and check compatibility with that version of phone. if fitted the privacy handset will be in the armrest.

have you got another phone that has bluetooth compatibility that you can try in car,iphone 5 are compatible as long as you have the latest version of Bentley software in car. Also if you have a privacy phone fitted in armrest ,switch it off and see if any better results are obtained.(to switch off ,leave handset in cradle and depress button until you hear a beep).

 

how do you check on what software version you have in the car?

 

the car needs to be put on a Vas 5052 or equivalent to read the control module.
