Boot/trunk
Anyone have trouble with there boot, it wouldn't open on the key or the switch. Opened it with the manual release, can't see anything obvious but it does look like someone has been in there before and not from Bentley!

first thing i would do is check your main battery and starter battery .,does it release from switch with car started. by chance your not using the valet key are you.

have you got vag com,and check for faults. when checking the boot it is best to have car running so you get good voltage to the boot electrics, can you try locking and unlocking car with key ,starting car and then use switch in door with the boot laying against the latch.you could possibly have a bad wire in the hinge where the wires pass through.

Could the boot badge have gone wrong, I was looking at the epc and it has the power latching but not the power opening. Do you understand the operation? Very complicated for a latch

the boot badge on early cars used to slide down and get stuck, should have been updated via a psis that was issued for cars.,easy to remove and just have rubber pad without chrome ring and then see what happens.

do you have a picture of the plug and is it on the left hand side . remove the two 10mm nuts for the Bentley emblem and you will see the rubber switch pad,but if you have vcds does it not show you boot switch operation or faults for boot.
