I am about to replace my 4 spoke for a 3 spoke wheel. For the airbag did you guys disconnect the battery entirely or is pulling the fuse enough to maintain safety?
Hoping to avoid all the resetting and inevitable failures associated with the battery loss
Edited 8/8/2020 - Never mind disconnected the negetive terminals to both batteries, did the Wheel Swap no issues.
So considering buying one of a few wheels on eBay, non seem to have the airbag which is not ideal, so assume I need to order that from dealer.
But I don't currently have heated option on my 4 spoke and these 2 wheels have different buttons so whats the different? And can you retro fit heated?
And the 3rd doesnt have heat but I might buy it and make the outer trim Laurel green Alcantara if I can be bothered, but also makes it easier to get black middle airbag possible wheres they other 2 are saddle.....harder to match maybe.
The ACC thumb-wheel is presumably for the active cruise control (radar based auto-distance-to-car-in-front).
At a guess you can probably code the steering wheel module to whatever features the car & steering wheel have. But I don't know that for sure. Maybe someone on the Ross-Tech forum would know?
