I'm not a Bentley owner, but I did have the pleasure of installing all new speakers and a 4 channel amp in a 2011 Continental GTC. The customer was disgusted when he heard that factory put in crappy paper speakers. So, we installed Focal KR series front and rear, all hooked up to a Mcintosh amp. Now my customer is having problems with some radio reception issues. I was wondering if anybody had any similar issues?

 

most of the antennas are in the trunk lid, is he having problems with sirius or normal am/fm.

 

I saw the antenna in the lid but never touched that at all. He has signal strength issues when driving by his house that he either didn't have before or he didn't notice as much. Is it just more prominent because of the amp?

 

could well be, if it is only by his house then i don't think it is anything you did.

 

Ok. Would there be any way of increasing reception or would this create a possible back feed issue?

 

i think at first i would find out what exactly is he getting...loss of am or fm, if its am you could put a booster in it but if he has troubles with both channels then it is something else. if he is losing reception for both i wold take a look at your antenna connections.

 

Ok. I will get more information on that and find out more on which he has trouble with and what kind of sparatic issue this is.

 

The am/fm reception on my Bentley is not as good as my Ford truck or my Audi A7 or my wife's Harley Davison. It looses signal and sound quality before any of the others do. BTW the sat nav and other electrical features falls behind other makers also. Bentley does have ****** in its armor.
