thanks for the helpful video! My 2012 gt opens all the way and closed but just will not latch for the life of me... I have to push it to lock. I just replaced the gas struts and that did not help. Any idea on what to do next???

@Gordonm ,
Lube up the hinges and pistons of the struts, just an FYI, new struts make it harder for the boot to close, as they are for the lifting of the bootlid.

Hello All,
Well She is up and running !!
I won't go to deep into the actions I perform, let's just say that the earlier models have immobilizer 3 with no challenge, whereas the 2010 Supersports engine and transmission package I installed with the 2010 Supersports engine ECU'S has Immobilizer Challenge, which is an added step of security, so, as you all may recall in my previous video, I had IMMO issues with the engine being killed by IMMO because of challenge not being met, so basically I rewrote to code and checksum to stop the challenge, as my year vehicle did not have it anyway...
My vehicle is still protected by the KESSY module in that if you do not have the proper key, it will not power up the dash/ignition, nor will it even crank over without the proper key, so all I did basically was to kill the challenge, but I am adding other security measures of my own, starter lockout, and fuel power circuit cutoff.
All done with an $18 serial Ponyprog eeprom adapter, and the free Ponyprog software, eeproms to read are the 95160's in 2010 Supersports ecu's, and 95040 in the 2006 ecu's eeprom.
please enjoy the video, oh, yes, there is a shout out to @British in the video, so don't faint... 😅🤣😅
Congratulations! You're in the home stretch and looking forward to the finalized product. Hope the snow in NJ melts soon and you can enjoy some fun spring motoring.
BTW, those supersport gages look fantastic and the exhaust sounds great.
Is that exhaust supersports, stock or aftermarket? Sounds a little louder, more rumbly than stock.

Yes she's coming together, stop the snow please.. 🥶
I love the gauges also.
As far as the exhaust 🤪, that is wide open no pipes at all from the down pipes back as shown in the picture below, I will be installing the full AWE custom made Supersports exhaust system as shown back in post # 116.
If anyone listens to the video on their home theater system, it is loud !
Very nice. Yes, the warning lights get me every time. Why the battery low light?
Sounded great. The idle is high, did you set it that way?
Great to hear it start up. You have worked so hard to hear that sound!
Reminds me of Garage Squad, when they finish everything up and try to start it…to find the distributor is 180 off, or the plug wires are wrong, or the fuel line is plugged, yours however started right up.
Hi British 👋,
The battery light was only on during the bulb check or say the ignition turned on, once the engine fired over the battery light went out immediately.
Yes, the idle was high because it was a cold start and I did not let it run long enough to idle down, I will make sure it idles down when I roll it out side if we do not get more snow, rain, freezing rain, ect... this weekend.
I am so happy that my work on the twin ecu's 95160 eeproms worked, what a relief, I was sweating !
Congratulations Johnny. You surely have well deserved reasons to be happy. Is it 6 years now, since you first started the project? I guess no one with a Bentley has ever done what you've achieved and how much you've learnt in the process. You deserve to be considered the master mind of this Bentley forum. Well done. I hope the rest of the assembly goes smoothly, I cannot imagine how eager you must be to take her out for a spin.
I am utterly amazed at what you've accomplished. I would guess that no one, including the designers and production team at VAG or at Crewe know as much about building the car as you do. I think that they'd be well served to hire you as a consultant on how to improve the serviceability of their cars in the field. I've no doubt you can think of a hundred ways to make replacing parts easier and more efficient!
