Just back from a Germany Driving Holiday in the B

So after many years of talking about going to Germany in the B, me and "She who must be obeyed" decided to go and actually do it.
We drove from Loch Lomond to Newcastle and got the Ferry to Amsterdam. Drove on at 1700 and arrive Amsterdam 0900 the next day so first night was in a cabin on board.

We then drove to Stuttgart and stayed there for 2 days. Great place and no where near as hard to drive into as I expected. Didn't do the Merc or Porka museums as time was limited.

Next was 2 days down at the Bodensea then up to Munich for a night or 2.

Then off to the Nordschleife ................which was closed for maintenance
not wanting to bore anyone too much so will keep this breif.
We did 2000 miles in 11 days in the Speed. Noted that at 130 mph she was doing 12mpg and at 160mph she was 9 mpg. I do like German Autobahn's

Great pics and sounds like you had a great time. Getting 9 mpg at 160 is quite good.

Rabent is on a distinguished road
Sounds like you had a great time, nice pics. I think all of us should one day go to Germany just to try out our bentleys at illegal speeds(for the rest of Europe).

TBH is was boring driving fast, the B just eats it up like chocolate. The best bit was the back roads, the scenery was terrific and the standard of roads is much better than the UK on the whole.
