2008 purchase
2008 purchase
Hello all, I've been searching the market for Bentley continental GT for about 8 months. the prices very so much from miles, color, year etc. I've found a 2008 Bentley Continental GT with 80k miles. Its pretty clean with only a bulb icon on the dash. Which the owner said he will repair before the sale. I've got him to 48k for the vehicle. And during my search, I have not found a 2008 for the price hes asking. I will be purchasing a scanner, to scan the vehicle with vas5054a,but the scan will take place after I buy the vehicle. Ive reached the issues these cars have. And I'm still interested in owner a Bentley. The color is Granite grey ext, and main int is cognac. With chrome wheels factory, new tires. During my research, I found it very hard to price this vehicle because of the higher miles. I see good and bad with the higher miles. So, I'm opening this tread up for opinions and/or questions. Thanks Everyone.
My boss just traded his '08 in at the Bentley store in Tysons. It only has 15k miles on it and has Mulliner package. Car has been babied and is damn near spotless. Don't know what they are asking for it....will be in the $70's I suspect but it is a "no issues" car. Just giving a heads up.
Added question: Lower mileage 2005, higher milage 2008? My driving habits will be the car will sit for 3 months in storage, as ill be in the sandbox overseas. Then one month off, ill be driving the car. Then 3 months in storage, etc. Price of the 2005, and 2008 is the same.

thanks again Larryr. I was thinking the same for a couple of reasons. The bentley common issues may be worked out by now with the higher miles, and I wont be driving it much so as time goes on, my higher miles will catch up with the current time. example: 2 years from now it will be 10 years old with about 90k on it with my driving habits. thanks again I appreciate your input.

I would think 70's would be a very good price for a car 2008 with that mileage and Mulliner.
For what its worth I put 180,000 miles on mines engine is bullet proof trans went at 180,000 after fluid and filter change. i recently changed the drive train and trust me my car is like brand new. I have replaced my front shocks 3 times though. i had dealership do it. that way is always covered under warranty for 3 years. before i was going to trade my car for a 14 spur they wanted to offer me $25,000. call dealership and ask what they will give you on trade on a 08 gt with 80k on the clock. work the price down. i think the price is still high. i have the higest milage most ever seen.but i bought mine with 13,000 miles and i enjoyed it every day.
Thanks for sharing your story with me Bentleyf . I will call the dealer tomorrow. Thats still the cheapest clean title 08 I've seen in my many months of searching. Also, i noticed they are not quick sellers. They be on the market for a long time.

Always glad to help and a properly serviced 2008 with miles means most things have been worked out. Try to find out about the brake rotor and pad condition as I usually work new ones into the deal if the car needs it along with ensuing good to new tires.
