Door Soft close feature when closing GT Coupe
Hello all, I posted this on the thread started by Catman too..
Can I check my symptoms..
1. Passenger door stopped pulling in. You can hear the motor trying every time, but somehow not engaging and pulling the door.
2. Few months later, same thing with driver's door (mine is RHD UK model, so driver is the right side).
3. On both doors, the motor works every time, but does not pull the door. it does NOT pull then release the door. It does not engage, so the door remain with a gap. Almost like it is out of sync somehow.
4. these issues arose, whether by coincidence or not, when I had a very weak "starter" battery (smaller one on the right). Has been replaced with OEM Varta correct spec.
Johnny pointed to either the microswitch or the cable to the door latch. With these symptoms, would one or the other be more likely? And could you point me to a how-to on removing the door trim, so I don't break anything in the process..
Many thanks for all the helpful advice.
Lars
