Changed both batteries now brake light is on and will not allow car to drive
the girl with the Park Brake light on in the Bentley!
Sorry to hear that the car is still not on the road.
My thinking is ABS brake controller malfunction. The P with a line through it can indicate that. Most likely the problem has caused the brake system to lock up. Regrettably the voltage shock might have cause this problem. There is more involved than a computer reset.
Please keep us informed. Good decision to take the car to Gianetti.

Hey guys. I wrote this whole big update of what’s been going on but for some reason I dnt see it. It was up long enough for someone to respond but when I tried to edit it it got deleted! So the car is at the shop of the guy who used his computer to reset the car after I put the new battery In. Now it’s been there for like two weeks and he hasn’t been able to figure out the park brake light. I dnt understand why he can’t figure it out. It’s almost 9 am and I am a hour away from picking my car up and taking it to gianetti performance shop as recommended by someone on here! Any ideas on why they can’t figure it out. Being that he had the scanner to reset the car and he spoke like he knew exactly what was going on I figured he would know how to fix it. Also guys I can’t get back into my old account for this post but it’s still me...

I haven't read this entire thread, only the last part. If the brakes are locked up and the car is immobile, it is the REAR brakes that are locked. The fronts are not capable of locking up permanently, but the rears are. On this brake design, the parking brake utilizes the rear brake pads for parking. the pads are actually mechanically wound closed and clamp onto the rotors. The pressure applied depends on the inclination if the vehicle.
In March I created a thread to DIY the rear brakes. There I described all of the functions of the rear parking brake modules. My suggestion is - have the current shop (assuming they have a VCDS), exercise the rear brake module. This is a pretty simple procedure:
Retract the park brake -
VCDS #53 parking brake –
#04 Basic settings –
code 007
You should hear the motors in the rear parking brakes winding open. At this point, the car should now roll freely. If there is no sound, and/or the brakes are still physically locked, then there is a more serious defect in the parking brake module.
Hopefully, if you can try this it might relieve the angst about moving the car to another repair shop.
Best,
Steve
PS: Let me just add, if the motors do not respond to code 007, you can still unwind the motors at each rear wheel manually...kinda. Rear Wheels need to be removed (and I thought there was something also in the thread about jack more). Unplug the 4 pin connectors at each rear parking brake motor. Pins 1 and 4 are ground and +12v. You can supply 12v here and motors should rewind. I haven't actually done this myself, but I've seen it done...it is not the recommended way to exercise the motors.

I now have to replace my starter (right side) battery. Is there a proper procedure so no to repeat the problems discussed above? Or were they a result of replacing the other battery that controls everything? I will do the replacement myself.
Last question - Any special needs to consider in purchasing the starter battery? Will AGM be ok?

Battery disconnect/connect:
Disconnecting and connecting batteries
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Procedure for disconnecting batteries
This procedure must be strictly followed.
1. Switch off ignition and all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.
2. Wait 60 seconds - Disconnect starter battery in luggage compartment on right (see below).
3. Disconnect main system battery in luggage compartment on left (see below).
Caution:
If the sequence is not followed, the pyrotechnical battery isolator may be triggered and the electrical equipment in the vehicle
damaged.
The battery isolation igniter for Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur is shown on the left hand side, and for Continental GTC on
the right.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disconnecting starter battery in luggage compartment on right
Warning:
To increase crash safety, the starter battery in the luggage compartment on the right is equipped with a battery isolator. In an
accident, the air bag control module triggers a charge disconnecting the voltage supply wire to the starter.
Battery isolation is performed pyrotechnically, with a very small explosive charge. To avoid accidentally triggering the charge when
working on the battery or the battery isolator, you must always disconnect the battery earth on the negative terminal of the starter
battery first.
Remove right hand luggage compartment carpet panel. (refer to bin: 0867)
Continental GT and Continental Flying Spur
Disconnect battery clamp (1) from battery negative terminal post.
Disconnect battery clamp (2) from battery positive terminal post.

Continental GTC
Disconnect the negative terminal (1) of the starter battery.
Warning:
On Continental GTC cars a separate positive cable (3) from the starter battery to the starter battery fusebox is fitted. This cable
remains live when disconnected from the starter battery until the main battery is also disconnected. When disconnected take care not
to cause a short circuit or allow the cable to come in contact with the air bag connector (7).
Remove the fixing (2) and disconnect the red starter battery fusebox cable (3) from the battery near to the positive terminal.
Lift up the plastic cover (4) to access the positive battery terminal, and loosen the clamping nut.
Lift off the battery isolation igniter (5) and attached starter cable (6).

7. Check all electrical consumers are functioning correctly.
So the starter battery change only is not so easy. One has to disconnect the service battery as well and then do all the resets you'd have to do if you replace the service battery.
The CTEK charger on the service battery has a "service" function that supplies power to the car even if the battery is disconnected. Would use of that eliminate the need to do all the resets?

Hiiiii guys!!!! My Bentley is fixed!!! It was the rear caliper making the p with the slash light through it come on. I had that fixed and new brake pads and new tires and ummm... something else I can’t think of the name of it! Instead of bringing it to gianetti like I initially wanted to I had it taken to another shop in a town called amityville. This guy was amazing. I am going to chime back in and give the name of the shop. He pinpointed every problem and o yea ... I had to get the frame pulled because it was a inch or more off ... whatever that means but my baby drives soooooo good. I can’t believe all this time it was the rear caliper giving me soooooo much trouble. Again I’m sorry for taking so long to get back but I got my old account back. Now I have one new problem.... the screen does not come on!!! So no radio no nothing. Thank god the heat works cause it’s cold af in ny but yea... no radio! I know I abandoned you guys for a minute but ... give me some advice guys!
