Trickle charging

I have a 2013 GT, and all of a sudden the car wouldn’t start. All electronics work, IE- lights, windows and the rear boot, but the car won’t start or even attempt to turn over at all.

I’m assuming its the batteries and they either need to be charged or replaced?? I’ve had it on the trickle charger for the better part of 2 days and it’s still on “Phase 2”....

my question is is how long should I expect this process to take before the car can be started and also should I have the rear boot open or closed while it’s charging?? Or does it not matter? I have the magnetic connector. Thanks in advance!

If the battery completely died I would try the recondition option. If that doesn't work get a battery tester as you have two. Did you try starting the car with the second battery or only the normal way?

I tried the emergency start with the key, and even jumping the car with my truck. Neither worked. So now I have it on the trickle charger hoping that helps.

From what ive read it sounds like the battery could be highly sulphated. So I went the the process and desulphation and now it’s “charging” or so it says.

This information is useful if disconnecting batteries.

Hi Guys ... This Snap-On battery tender is one of the best on the market, I got hold of one to borrow and put my AMG (left side) battery on for a few hours and the battery was like new once it went through its cycle ...
