2013 Continental GTC

Just bought this. I'm optimistic it's more like a VW or BMW then an old Jag.

Hazzards not working. Turn signals fine. Any suggestions?

Just bought the car and haven't even looked for the fuse box yet.

Hopefully not a control module.

Control module?

Did some digging. It seems like none of the interior lights work and hazards are out.

Next steps?

The hazard light switch is connected directly to the (Front) Body Control Module, so if your indicators work correctly then it can only be the switch, the Body Control Module, or the wiring between the two.
Footwell lights are switched by BCM, but other interior lights, including glovebox, are controlled by Roof Control Module.
Unfortunately the front BCM is known to be vulnerable to water ingress.
After a cursory glance at the circuit diagrams, I can't find any fused supply path in common between the BCM and the RCM.
If you search the web you should be able to find a copy of IETIS - the technical information package which amongst other things contains circuit diagrams. Am unsure what age of cars are covered though.

Thanks for the reply!
The interior lights turned out to be a 5amp fuse under the dash.
How can I pull the hazard switch to check it? This one is in the console below the gear shift.
Is the front BCM removal difficult? Any idea on price?

Assuming that the later cars aren't massively different to the early CGTs, to get to the Hazard Light Switch is very simple:
1) Select Neutral
2) Remove the centre mesh vent cover/grill above the clock, by using a plastic trim removal tool to gently lever the grill upwards each side until you can use fingers to pry it away.
3) Again using fingers only, pull the veneer surround away from the infotainment system.
4) Pull upward the chrome gear selector surround to release it.
5) Using one hand at the rear end of the centre veneer panel, lift it upwards to free it, then release the front end.
6) Carefully disconnect the various plugs to enable the panel to be released.

To get to the BCM is rather more difficult and involves lifting the carpet.

Unclear whether you're asking for the price of labour to do the jobs, or the price of the parts.

Thanks.
Parts cost. Can they be purchased aftermarket or OEM only.
I will do the work myself.
The front BCM is located where?

BCM is under front passenger-side footwell carpet.
No idea on parts cost, but once you find them and read the number, if the part number starts with a 3W then it's Bentley specific i.e. expensive. If anything else (e.g. 7D or 4E) then it's generic VW so should be cheaper.
