I recently had mine charged up by a 'specialist', was blowing only cooler air. I think they've overcharged it. On the quick fit tool i think you're referring to there's a gauge with low / full / take it in for servicing specs. I fitted the connector on the low side to get the reading, very easy, just under the scuttle panel on the left side. Next time I'll try it myself, little risk, can always go back to the specialist and give them some money! i think the system is capable of blowing very cold air.
TIL that Kwik- Fit is a chain of car servicing centres in the United Kingdom & not a connector on the top of a an AC recharging can!
this is the dial gauge i was referring to....simply attach to your low pressure AC line & see what it says. with the can attached the trigger pull adds freon, with the can detached the freon is sent to the ozone. naturally you have to be aware discharging freon carelessly.
Make sure you have the air on the lowest setting (64-65 I think that’s the lowest setting) air on high and on inside recirc when checking/adding refrigerate.
Well i'm still getting no cooling despite the charge reading to be in the 'full' range. prior to me discharging some freon the needle was in the red. on my very first charge adjustment the system temporarily put out the coldest air but has reverted back to no cooling. so i'm gonna scan for any error codes...
