Bentley cluster warning lights flash intermittently.

Hi all, I have an 06 Continental GT that appears to be haunted.... As you drive along the cluster or dash warning lights randomly flash accompanied by three warning beeps and "brake fault stop vehicle" warning.
There is nothing wrong with the car as it drives and stops fine and no fault codes are present.
It happens completely randomly with no apparent load, road, speed, or any other condition required to have it perform. It can fault 10 times in a short trip or once or twice for the same trip on a different day.
It happens so often I was able to capture a quick video which I have attached. Any ideas where to start looking? Canbus or cluster fault.....or.....???
I have had loads of help from this forum before from some very clued up people. Hope someone can help with this please.

When you say "no fault codes are present", what did you use to attempt to extract the codes? By that I mean was it a dedicated VW/Bentley tool, or a generic scanner?

Hi Dark Green, it was generic on this occasion. An Autel scanner which seems to communicate very well.....so well I was able to use it to extract the security pin code.
I do have VCDS so I will give it a scan with that and see if there is something I missed.

Hi Dark Green, rescanned with VCDS. The only codes relate to tyre pressure monitor system and battery control module. All else is clear with no codes.

Cheers.

Is there any chance that the Battery Control Module (BCM) is causing a momentary glitch on a power line to other modules?

The first thing I would be checking is the state of the connections to the BCM for cleanliness and physical security, ditto the batteries.

If that fails then you may need to put the VCDS into 'Flight Recorder' mode and try to capture bus traffic to the Instrument Pack when the glitch occurs.

I guess that is a possibility. The BCM code appears to be hard wired as it reappears as soon as it is cleared.
I will buy another module and fit. I will let you know if there is any improvement.

Cheers.

Hi all, its been a while but finally got another battery control module and an auxiliary vacuum pump (located under the LF wheel liner) from the UK. Shipping may be crazy expensive but it is super slow as well!
Fitted both a week ago and initially no flashing dash lights....but alas....back to square one yesterday! the fault is still present....aaaah!

While I am on the subject of W12 Bentley, has anyone had any experience with water injection for one of these? Petrol is so expensive I can barely afford to run it and from what I read it looks as if Water Injection will give considerable fuel savings....I don't need anymore power!
Cheers,
Stephen.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I came to it because of this post.
I am a mechanic and I repair a lot of Porsche and Bentley, but right now I am having a problem just like yours.
I have changed many things and still have the same problem.
Have you been able to solve it? It would be great if you could help me.

Cheers.

Hi, sorry i cant help. My car has been a bit of a spare time project I have had a number of issues with. I have been working my way through the list. I have a surge still to fix which I have identified as an o2 sensor. I really haven't put any time into tracking down the issue and so it persists. The frequency of the problem lessens during the hot summer so I suspect a connection somewhere. Your question has re-tweaked my interest.. I will get onto it soon and let you know if I find the problem....and vice versa.

Cheers.
