BWings, I have a 2010 GTC Speed with a P0017 code, and I plan to replace the VVT. I assume I have to remove the valve cover to access it. If so, I need to replace all the involved gaskets and seals plus probably plugs on only that side while I'm there. Do you suggest a particular manufacturer seal kit and plugs for this, other than Bently? And, am I right that the VVT has a different plug connection so that it doesn't interchange with VW and Audi? Thanks. LKe

Hey guys, my cars smells like burning rubber after its driven. I originally thought it was the serpentine belt, but my indy took a look and determined that there's a leak from the valve cover and its hitting the exhaust - producing the smell. There's no oil on the garage floor. @BWings , @Johnny Hotspur GT , did you guys have a burning rubber smell? I'm trying to decide if i should get on the repair sooner - or later?

Both my '09 & '16 W12's had the same kind of seepage @ around 20K miles & my indy told me to leave it alone and just watch it. Cars ran fine for as long as I had them. No leaks on my '20 V8 @11K miles - yet!

No smell ever but my sense of smell is almost nonexistent. But my wife never mentioned it.
