Ok this is weird. Sometimes my 2013 GT has a message that says "no key found" when I try to start, even though I have the key fob. If i push the unlock button on the fob, the car suddenly recognizes the key fob. and then it will start. I have replaced the battery but it makes no difference. Any help would be appreciated.

A scan would tell us if you are having any antenna faults, or possibly another issue with the fob, or KESSY module.

Have you had any damage to the fob itself, has it gotten wet, or dropped ?

Does this happen with all of the keyfobs for this vehicle ?

Does the keyless entry work by grabbing the door handle with the fob in your pocket ?

I've found that if I have a Toyota fob in my pocket with the GT fob, the door won't unlock unless I stand against the car. If I don't have the Toyota fob on me it works normally. Maybe something similar is happening if you have another fob with you.
