Upper coolant hose question

Hello Members,

I just came to check on my GT 05 after being parked for over than 2 months no start, and found both front side in the ground which means suspension leak in front, rear is still high, also the front wheels looks bent from over weight on them which I hope no replacement needed after putting the car up again don’t know how yet
started the car and noticed upper coolant hose leaks which connected to thermostat, would it need a new o ring or a complete hose, or maybe RTV should seal it.

Any help appreciated 😊

Please post a couple of pictures related to the leak. Indeed the hose attachment points have internal "o" rings.... no RTV sealant please👍...Anyway pictures would help to ensure we are [all] on the same page.

Yes, remove the fitting and pull the "o" ring and size it up. I don't know the size. McMaster Carr is the best source for quality replacements. Use their size calculator and select the proper product type for this application..

Is the o ring placed on the thermostat or the coolant hose ?
I remember replacing the thermostat for one of my previous GT which was pain in the A$$ but don’t remember there was an o ring

Inside the coolant hose. When installing use, for example dielectric silicone grease on the "o" ring. The refit is tight and getting it fully seated before installing the metal lock ring is critical.

Thanks for the info
I will try to pul it, if not worked then I guess RTV should be a fix, unless there’s an explanation for not using it there 😊

High heat, glycol coolant and pressure RTV is iffy. Bentley went the extra yard with "o" rings and not clamps as well...just saying. 😏

If I’m following you then you mean RTV will melt and cause damages !

As far as bent wheels, I think you'll be fine. Never heard of a wheel being bent because of a suspension drop.

I'm guessing you don't have a battery tender, right?

I have a battery tender, it’s not an issue with battery since I unplug both negative terminals for long park garage with trunk latch closed while opening the boot, I applied RTV, leakage stopped finally and could feel water through the upper hose but temperature gauge is still goes high pass 90c
any ideas ?
