How do I get the map view in the infotainment display?

Sometimes the map view is there where I select all the way to the right, and sometimes it just gives me a damn compass. I’ve tried pushing every button. Anyone know how I get the map view instead of the compass?

Thanks, Bruce, but that doesn't answer my question as that simply shows the map. My question is what happens when it only shows you the compass.... do you get it to show you the map not the compass?

Mine is older and doesn't have that display. If I understand correctly it seems that what you're saying is that you see the compass instead of the map? I don't know the answer but try it after setting the navigation to a specific destination and see if that makes a difference.
Are you using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay as the map source? If so try it with those disconnected and using the internal map.

Thanks, Bruce. Yes, sometimes it shows the compass instead of the map. And I'm not sure why. I always have my iPhone plugged in. Sometimes it still shows me the map with my iPhone plugged in and other times it doesn't. I can't identify the pattern or figure out how to get it to always show me the map in the center console. I had thought maybe if I had google maps open on Apple CarPlay then it wouldn't show me the map in the infotainment screen, but I once recall having google maps displayed on the center screen and the map view on the infotainment screen at the same time.

I assume there's nothing in the owner's manual but it might be worth a call to the dealer or Bentley themselves @ 800 - 777-6923. You might try testing with your phone turned off just to establish if if works differently with the phone involved.

I think you have to turn the compass option off under the car display monitor button. I did that on my Bentayga when I got it last month. Hope this helps and it is in the owners manual if you have one.

hmmm. My car didn’t come with an owners manual. Any chance you could tell me how to do that? Where’s the car display monitor button?

On your center monitor/console hit the home button like you are accessing CarPlay; you should see the car icon. Hit that. Then top right of screen has gear/settings. Hit that and scroll using the right **** to search for navigation or maps. From there you should be able to uncheck the compass option. Not at home now but hope this helps.
