2005 GT ECUs same Coding/Programming/etc as 2006 Flying Spur?
2005 GT ECUs same Coding/Programming/etc as 2006 Flying Spur?
For some background, I picked up a 2006 Flying Spur at auction, it appears from the VIN that VCDS reads, both the ECUs were swapped in from a 2005 GT (therefore seemingly without being programmed to the cars VIN/Immo/etc), so the immobilizer kicks in, and car will not run for more than 2 seconds. I'm working on the immobilizer side of things.
My question is, does anyone know if the ECUs have the same coding, fuel mapping, programming, or whatever you want to call it, between the GT/GTC/Flying Spur models of the same year range? I imagine the W12 engine Bentley models between at least 2005-2008 should be able to be used, perhaps more of a better chance if both ECUs were swapped in a pair - can anyone confirm anything of the sort?
Basically, will the 2005 GT ECUs work to control/manage/etc the 2006 Flying Spur?
Of course I can't yet start the vehicle, but as it sits there really aren't many concerning codes thru VCDS (see this thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post4936052)
I do not have the original ECUs, so I can't verify the original part numbers match. I do however have a receipt I found in the car (which led me down this path) that shows some part numbers of the 2005 GT ECUs that were purchase if that matters, of course I can pull them out of the car if necessary.
Thank you
