Another Head Scratcher

Here is another head scratcher from the world of the 3rd generation Continental GT.

At purchase we all get 3 key FOBs, 2 "masters" and a limited function Valet Key. At the time of purchase, we labeled our master keys with my wife's and my initials. I was recently driving the car with "my" key and went to adjust the steering column and it would not move either up or down or telescope in or out. Just to see if there was any difference, the next time I next drove the car, I used my wife's key FOB and the steering column adjustment system worked perfectly.

Any Idea why the column adjustments would work when the car is run using my wife's key FOB and not with mine?

Did it not move by using the switch on the column? Does it move if you use the preset switches on the drivers seat control buttons?

Using "my" FOB, the switches on the steering column are not functional for either up/down or in/out. Using my "wife's" FOB they are functional. I was not aware of preset buttons on the drivers seat, but I think there are presets in the lower alcove on the drivers door panel, which I have not tried and will do that today, thanks for the input.

Does "your" fob activate the correct memory seat position?

Bruce
That was a good idea, I locked and unlocked the car with my FOB, started the car and reset the manual button for my FOB. I then existed and locked the car, unlocked, reentered, started and the steering controls worked as they should. Thanks!
