New key stuck in the ignition.

I received a second key by mail from Aston Martin. The key opened the doors fine but when I went to start the car, the start button didn't light up red. I pressed it anyway and it didn't start. Now the key doesn't want to come out of the ignition. What to do?

I suppose you have tried to move the steering wheel back and forth to relieve any tension on the key?

The ker error fault is due to it not being programmed. I have had a few new keys get stuck, and it takes so force to get it out.

AMfixer, I haven't pull the key with a lot of force of fear of taking the drum off the steering altogether! Should I apply a lot of force without fear of taking the ignition drum with me?

The key turns freely from position 0 to position 2, without any issues. It just does not come out !!! That was going to be my next question! Can I spray WD40 in the barrel to see if the comes out? Will the WD40 screw up any electronics inside the barrel?

Key is out !!! Thank you AMfixer..

I injected Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil around the key, into the tumbler. Then, from the passenger side, I lodged my knees against the center console, and pulled the key with both hands. The key came out in two stages, first half, and on a second pull, all of it. One funny thing about this ordeal,... that last pull, made me fell backwards, out the passenger door !!!
