@sprinter ,
As 09SPEED stated, check the fuse first, it should be fuse number 14, unless the GTC has a different fuse layout.
Next is the question of keyfob in hand while attempting to pop the lid, is it the 3 button main fob, or the 2 button valet fob, as the 2 button valet fob will not allow access to the boot, glovebox, or the gas lid.
If you are using the correct fob, and the fuse is good, you may have a bad release mechanism, in an emergency to fill the fuel tank, you can push the white plastic plunger down to pop the lid.
Another thing to try is to lock and unlock the vehicle and try to release it again, possibly with the key-blade in the ignition switch, I had this issue once or twice, I locked the vehicle, then unlock it, turned the ignition on and off to cycle a power up cycle.
The fuse is fine, so that's not the issue. I noticed looking at the diagram that there is also a relay associated with the gas flap. Does anyone know where this relay is located and how can you tell if a relay is bad?
