Continental 2016 Nav Sound Reverse camera issue

I have an amazing 2016 candy red conti speed which i love but been suffering with this issue and in local dealer they want to change amplifier and nav system and i beleive its just a software issue.
Nav System randomly starts muted, other days only shows clock, reverse camera also some days pops, other not, and the other days all works perfectly.
anyone had this issue??

Just guessing but maybe loose connections? If it has to be replaced I'd upgrade to this as described in this thread:

As to your issue, you can read through the thread linked below, it is 8 pages long, buts lots of details were covered as to the software update/disc.

I did a lot of research for @robob as to the issue and the availability of the software disc, I purchased the disc from Bentley, I sent the disc to Robob, and sadly, it did not solve his issue, and I will add, this is a well known issue on the second generation units, yet Bentley service departments will deny or claim they have never heard of this issue, I call you know what, as the thread will show, some have said "motherboard", others online have said "hard drive", then Robob finally had his Infotainment head unit repaired, but in the process, the shop also sent other items from the vehicle to go along with the repair, I have asked Robob to please tell us if he knows what those items were, as it may shed some light on the issue.

how is the feeling of the device? I upgraded the climate and nav in an old range rover 2015 i had and when installed it felt cheap and low quality. What are your impressions? Can you rise or low suspension with the new device?
i was considering buying one as in the bentley dealer they suggest to change the Naim amplifier for a new one 7k€ ( i took it to Naim service and told me it was perfect just in protection mode) and im sure that after installing the new one they will recomend also changing sat nav for another 5-7k.
i had car play installed and everything was perfect before this issue happened.


Also did interior lightining and car looks awesome

You mention you recently installed CarPlay before these problems started so I would start my troubleshooting with that as a potential issue.

Agreed, I am not saying this is the issue, but it does raise the question as to what exactly was done to the factory head unit to add CarPlay...

A while back a member here had issues with her 1st GEN head unit, nobody could figure it out, continuously looping, freezing, etc. She sent me the unit, and in minutes I saw the extra wiring, input plug, ribbon cable, etc, I called her to question when and what was done, she had a camera interface, and a video input installed a few months earlier, the shop told her their install was not the issue, I bench tested the unit and it just kept looping, I opened it up, removed all of the aftermarket wiring soldered to the motherboard/video card, removing the aftermarket ribbon cable, therefore bringing the unit back to factory build, bench tested the unit, and all was good, as it was almost 2 years later when she contacted me about another totally unrelated topic.
