Considering E92 M3
Ok, so I love the 335i
Now i know with a couple thousand dollars you can make it just as fast as the E92 M3. However, I'm not the modding type of person.
And i LOVE the apperance of M3 over the 335i
What do you guys think?

HMMMM,
there is no comparison between a 335 and an M3???? no matter how fast you make a 335. Also this is like comparing a e46 330ci to a e46 M3.

an M is an M but this is one M that if someone gave me one for free, id head to the dealer to trade it in right away!
) I still think we'll have to wait until we drive it ourselves..Aside from being on the heavy side of things (hence making room for the CSL version), it should be a decent car.. but time will tell.
Though I respect your opinion, and have been reading what you have to say on this subject a lot (b/c u have a lot of opinions..

im going to be driving it for sure, but i know that even if the steering isnt numb (like every mag has said it is) and it drives great i wont be able to get over the looks and the fact that its heavier and overpriced. i know my dealer here is going to be asking at least 10-15K over MSRP
if the new m3 is anything like the m5/m6 in terms of depreciation, it will be in the 50's in no time.
my prob isnt the engine, bc i know its a good one, even though i wish they stuck with the I6. its the looks of the car inside and out (read: terrible), and the fact that it gained a couple hundred pounds.

if the new m3 is anything like the m5/m6 in terms of depreciation, it will be in the 50's in no time. The M3 is such an important car and evokes sugh strong responses from car enthusiasts that BMW can't please everyone. Obviously the looks are love/hate, although I think this happens everytime a model comes out, and ppl just get used to it over time in most cases. I'm sad to see they got rid of such a brilliant engine, but I think the V8 is either not much heavier, or even a little lighter, I can't remember.
Of course if you buy the 1st ones out, you'll be paying a premium - goes without saying.. but it does have the advantages of high-revving 8cyl engine, LSD from the factory, carbon fiber roof, suspension, brakes...
I think it's good for what it is.. but they can't make everyone happy!
