Need help choosing....e92 M3 vs z4M coupe vs 650 coupe

Hi guys, I have a BMW 650i for some time and would like to get a new ride. I would need opinions and advise on the e92 m3, z4m coupe and the 2008 650i, in tems of looks, mods, performance and handling. Thank you!

You're talking about totally different types of car in different price ranges. What are you looking for? Cruising? Track days or autocrosses?

Hi aus, I am looking for one that can be used for cruising and occasionally tracking. Unfortunately I have not tracked on a 6 before. With this new purchase, I would be taking it to the tracks.

The 650's not the car to take to the track of the one's you mentioned. The M-Coupe is a fun car, very tight and great around an autocross and should be good on a track too. It wouldn't be great for cruising around given it's stiffer suspension and tighter interior.
Not many can tell you about the M3, but it will have an adjustable suspension as an option.

If you enjoy the 650, why not a slightly used M6?

Get the M3, newest components, etc.

The Z4M uses the E46 M3's S54 engine, and the 650 is outdated and ugly in many people's opinions, and it is also not as sporty as an M

I agree with you. I have driven the M coupe and I really love it. However, I will have mix feelings when the E92 M3 gets into the U.S. I am not sure if the new M3 will out perform the M coupe? I am really eager to buy the M coupe but the thought of the new M3 keeps me in my way. It's the new M3.. Please advise. Thanks!

newer might be better but don't forget the new M3 is a pig compare to the M coupe. what i love about the M coupe is that it's really a car that's back to basic. 6speed, no trick to the suspension etc. it's very pure unlike all the modern sports cars all want some of the luxuries. out perform, maybe, but again u won't be the fastest driver out there taking it to the limit. the experience is more important. i personally think u'll have more fun in the M coupe. just a thought.

well the m3 seems to lie between the other two. The 650i is simply an automatic cruiser/DD. The Z4MCoupe might be the best on the track, but it only has two seats and might be frustrating as an only car. The m3 seats four, has more power than the other two, and should be a blast on and off the track.

I know for sure, even if it was to be tracked %50 of the time, the m3 would be my first choice.

The real question is can you actually get one in a reasonable amount of time..
