It sounds like he was out goofing of in his daddy car and did not know the runway was coming to an end.

I am all about high horsepower but with respect.
I will not buy my son a high horsepower car.

I would much prefer an 18-year-old with brains to have an M5 rather than spend his money on some other piece of junk that could kill him and his mates in an accident,
the irony is killing me...

Tragedy indeed but I must say, the next time we hear about this will be the passengers' families suing the driver's family and BMW for building an unsafe car and probably the airport too for not securing it or something... Nobody ever wants to take responsibility for their own action anymore...

Absolutely not. Although, I think for many, it is, unfortunately. I'm impressed with how many people will actually go out and sue for whatever they can possibly get after a family member dies or is injured in the United States. Not everyone does, but its definitely not uncommon.
