I think the new car is pretty cool, but I still love the prior model.

What really surprises me is that you can get the new car at MSRP, but the past models prices seem to be holding strong, for the lower mile cars?

Do you think the prior year model is going to go lower?

Thanks

Low mileage E46s haven't tanked like the well cared-for dd cars, but they've taken a hit as well, and will continue to fall.

E46s have become a great value of a car with the higher price of the new M3.

I just picked up a Red 03 M3 SMG w/ 35k miles CPO for 28.5k. I think some of the higher mileage cars will get into the low 20s, but don't expect to see them in the teens anytime soon.

There are a few on Autotrader already in the teens, early cars with over 100k miles.

I'm a bit surprised the the e46 m3 have not dropped dramatically since the release of the new m3. I did notice a large drop within the last year. I'm assuming with how many e46's are out there and the cost of inspections/maintenance, that prices will end up dropping.

BMW's hold their value, the M3 is no exception. 06 M3's are still going for sticker.
