New guy (56k slight warning)

Hello everyone, just joined and wanted to say hello. I'm a long time BMW guy but have always loved Porsche's as well, hopefully eventually i'll be able to get one. I currently have an 07 335i, thats modified, I traded my e46 M3 in for it. I will also be trading the car back in hopefully by the end of the year on an e92 M3(that was the original plan anyway instead of the 335i). I also have a couple of modified trucks and my baby, an 85 318i. Anyway i've rambled on long enough, it's great to be a part of the community and nice to meet you all!

Trae

P.s. car pics.

Thanks everyone! What color are you going to get? I'm stuck between Melbourne Red and Sparkling Graphite.

It's funny, I went to this spot a day before and didnt get time to get any shots on the bridge and the canal was dry as a bone. Came back the next day and I get this lol, I live in the desert, WTF lol.

Do you regret making the switch from e46 m3 to 335? As much as I love my 335, I would seriously consider doing the opposite and getting an e46m3.

Honestly in retrospect I wish I would have just kept my M3 until I could get my e92 M3. I love my 335i but every day I still miss my M3 so much, though once I get my e92 i'll probably just end up missing both cars lol.

honestly...if youre going to do anything, it should be an e90/e92 m3 and not to an e46 m3. the e46 m3 while very good, never really had me impressed...i had sooo many mods, and was never satisfied with it. i wish i could get my 911 back. that car in stock form gave so much fun and enjoyment, i wish i had it back.

I think the silverstone with that color combo would be amazing, and the fox red has really grabbed me too lol. I'll probably end up going Sparkling Graphite/Fox red (extended)/CF roof, or maybe Melbourne Red/Black/CF roof

what are you looking to get out of the M3 that the 335i doesn't deliver? just curious, as i've read so many good things about how the 335i responds to mods.

Well I can tell you that (atleast in my experience) is BS. I had a JB2 on mine and I blew a turbo in about 1k miles. So i'm pretty pissed about that, but i'm mainly just wanting to get into the M3 for the car it'self, suspension, bodywork, CF roof, engine. I'd rather have a car thats built more for the track than just a straight line car.
