the best are JB3 :

http://www.modbargains.com/product.a..._Processor_RS2

and Procede V3 :

http://www.vishnutuning.com/RevIIRace.htm

the JB3 is the better choice for people not wanting to get too deep into the whole modding thing

the Procede allows more options for finetuning the ECU tune via Software and a Laptop (e.g maps,power/torque output etc)

the JB3 is simple and very effective and there are almost no problems known with it.

choose the one that applies best to your needs

enjoy it

I am planning on going with the vishnu procede on mine. I was originally thinking Dinan for the warranty coverage but it seems like BMW may break their ties with them to promote their own line of performance parts.

JB3 runs the 335 market I've had it on both my 335's and racked up almost 50k on the tunes with no problem. Go with the JB3 100%

Another vote for JB3 here especially with the updated 1.22 chip. You have seven maps to choose from:

0 Stock/Valet
-- Stock tune with boost levels of 6-8psi

1 Low boost map
-- Boost levels of 11-12psi

2 High altitude map
-- Boost levels of 13-14psi but more aggressive high RPM boost taper

3 High boost map
-- Default map, suggested for most users
-- Boost levels of 13-14psi
-- Auto detects and adapts to mods like race gas, intake, exhaust, DP, etc

4 High boost map with lagfix
-- Same as map 3 but with improved throttle response below 3500rpm

5 Hot map
-- Same as map 3 but with more aggressive low end boost and less high end taper
-- Suggested for those looking for a little more power than the high boost map
-- May trigger a soft code (CEL) from time to time if your car is not up to the task (plugs, fuel pump, fuel, etc)

6 Hot map with lagfix
-- Same as map 5 but with improved throttle response below 3500rpm

7 Race map (customer version)
-- 97+ RM/2 octane and supporting mods suggested
-- Peak boost of 14-16psi depending on mods and weather.

I own a E92 335xi as well and have been thinking about the aftermarket tunes. Only thing that's really holding me back with procede and jb3 is they all give gains by basically dialing up boost on the turbos. Apparantly though, the procede has a new doomsday map which is supposed to work with torque output as well.

btw, hello everyone. I hail from e90post.com

That would depend on which map you want to use. Here's a link to the new doomsday map released by shiv@vishnu tuning. Apparently there are pretty large hp/torque gains. Not sure the exact numbers, but I've heard that non-catted and downpipe mods will yield over 400hp. I think there's a dyno map somewhere on e90post. I'll dig around for it.

That remote is to let you switch maps on the procede unit. Between map 1 for I guess normal driving, and map 2 for a more aggressive map.

Turbo Tuner is a Joke seriously.... its pretty much the weakest tune available and does the least as far as tuning goes. JB3 is about the same price and will give you Power from mild to wild as well as take care of more then just raise the boost like the Turbo Tuner.

Read this other thread of a buddies 335 that was pretty much stock cept for fuel and Drag radials and ran 11's with just a JB3 1.2 tune. No body out there can claim the same. And of course you can always run lower output maps if you don't need the fastest available all the time.

Terry Burger is very well respected and the best tuner out there for the N54 Motor period. All others are amateurs.

I dont think I would go that far, I remember reading his posts trying to figure out how some of the other tunes worked that were out well before he even started.

No one buys a SSTT at full price. You buy it used at $250-275.
