Window Smashed :-(

I had the window of my 6 series smashed in today, i am still trying to figure out what happened because i do not see any impact marks(any ideas?). anyways just a sad sad day, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do now or any way to prevent this from happening again. I have only lived here for 2 weeks, and i have yet to talk or to see any of my neighbors. here are some pics for your enjoyment.

2 or 3 years ago I had a bimmer, E46 sedan, one day I was driving on a highway and suddenly the rear windows goes into pieces. At the service one of the mechanics told me that I'm not the first one who encountered this but he couldn't give me an explanation. It was summer, around 35 degrees Celsius

Thanks NWS for the image help means a lot. i was also thinking that maybe it broke because it was not sitting right, just because their is no hole and no exact place where an impact can be see. in many ways i am hoping that is the case, just so i can have a piece of mind. What if someone used on of thoughts glass hammer things or maybe a spark plug would that do it.
anyways here is a link to more pics, http://picasaweb.google.com/benari.o...01349268747714

Definitely looks more like a freak accident than vandalism, if there's glass inside the car i would assume that someone shot maybe a bb at the window?

...left me heart broken, not looking for love...

Back on topic, do you park outside? A friend of mine parked under a tree in his front yard and a branch came off the tree and cracked his rear window similar to yours (with no impact marks)

If not, I'm going to have to agree on Aliens

My car lives in an underground parking structure, it is gated but I dont think it is that hard for trespassers to enter. so the only posable solution is Aliens
