[Vid] Modded E92 M3 DCT vs. Modded E60 M5
Never mind it does use a bottle heater, and a Nano system will make any system using a bottle heater better. My bottle heater is just like the ASR one in that it maintains a set bottle pressure, but the Nano system is instant and it uses the whole bottle of nitrous.
Wow you BMW guys don't mind paying the big bucks, I have seen full race direct port systems setup for three stages and up to a 600 shot go for less money! I just have to take your word for it that ASR is the best thing going.

I don't disagree, I am sure the system is solid, but can it be improved? Sure, definitely.
I would prefer a direct port nitrous system personally and also I'm not sure if you are familiar with the Nano but it is incredible. You don't need a bottle heater, always run at the perfect pressure, and it never drops off even if the bottle is at a low fill. You also don't need to wait, it is instant on. It also tends to make a bit more power through the same jets.
Sure, you don't need it, but you also don't necessarily need a heater.
If ASR can't tune there own cars without Vishnu, I seriously doubt they reinvented nitrous. Also for the price of that system I can put together a full computer controlled per individual gear direct port nitrous system. ASR did not invent nitrous, nor is there system the best out there. In fact there system is very similar to systems that retail for under $1,000.
What they can claim is to being the first, the hardest part is tuning for the nitrous and the software involved. What I am looking at is a system now that uses a completely different ECU map that is triggered when I arm the nitrous.
Bottom line, get out there and do your research don't be blind to something a tuner tells you without checking it for yourself.

They have Vishnu do the tuning for their turbo kit (when I pointed this out and asked for a pump gas dyno, the owner of ASR lost his cool) and Active Autowerke does their nitrous tunes. Despite what the guy from ASR claims, he can not tune anything other than a radio in house.
It is refreshing to speak to someone capable of thinking for themselves.

It's really unfortunate that in the Euro performance arena there is so much smoke and mirrors. I have an E36, and I can't tell you all the useless mods I installed because of the empty promises of tuners. In the Vette world we are fortunate enough to have people that pushed there stock engines to and beyond the limit and took detailed data along the way. That is truly the way to find out , and know what an engine is capable of and what safeguards are needed.
Unfortunately the engine failures that have happened have been swept under the rug, and others in the M community have been unable to benefit from the data. I know the S85 is a very expensive engine and wouldn't expect ASR to push one to the point of breaking, but to act as if engine failures don't exist is a little crazy.

Curio there is just no way of being nice with you, is there! Lets put that aside for now.
Your above comment, how does the Nano system accomplish all of those functions?
Okay those sound like good components but how does it work?

It uses nitrogen to pressurize the bottle and literally push the nitrous out of the bottle without resorting to heat to pressurize the nitrous. It's always on and ready, always maintains perfect bottle pressure, and uses every last drop of nitrous in the bottle.
Germeezy covered it, it is a nitrogen assisted system.
Is the bottled filled with nitrous and nitrogen? If so then you can not fill a 20lb bottle fully with nitrous.
What am I missing?
Another point, germeezy1 please tell me what you know about S85 engine failures that have been "swept under the rug".
Please be more specific with your accusations.
If you can deliver a nitrous system for the S85 at $1,000 you are a miracle worker. Your typical tuner charges $1,000 plus for an ECU generic tune. The components and install of the system I guess you feel is nothing.
So please since you know so much can you fill me in?
Oh btw who the hell say that ASR invented nitrous? Please specifically point this out to me.
Ranger
I said similar to, the basic workings of a nitrous system are the same as kits that cost $1,000 or less. I already said the main cost is in the tuning of the system.
And I don't know if you know this but typically a 75 shot nitrous system comes upgradeable to a 150 shot for free. It also comes with everything that ASR charged $3495 to $4495 for. ASR does not do there nitrous systems any different regardless of what they have you believe. Trust me I don't have a $4495 system and it has all of the safeguards and more that this system has.
This is a simple dry shot nozzle system with a bottle heater, nothing high tech or different than any other nitrous system. Except the tuning and the fact that S85 owners don't have a problem spending the money.

Ranger I don't want this to turn into an argument, I have already done the research and know what I am talking about. You do the research and you will see that I am not hell bent on knocking ASR.
