997S vs E92 M3...Thoughts/Opinions
Mildly considering to jump into one of these? 06 or 07 997S or a new M3. Any opinions/thoughts from owners appreciated. For reference, my current car is a 07 335i coupe 6-spd, stock, never got around to doing much to her. Thank you
They very different cars with the same characteristics. I would love to own a 997S but for me (20yrs) I feel im just too young. The M3 is practical for going out on town with my buddies an managing to squeeze in the M3 (take in mind I own a E46 but the E92 is much more roomy back there). If your the older guy an looking for a nice daily driver an something to take the wife/gf in without having anyone else Id lean towards the Porsche.
Track driving make sure you really learn how to drive the Porsche an have an instructor that knows aswell as its a one of a kind beast out there.
Id myself would choose the M3 but YOU are going to be the driver. You need to ask your self what are you looking for in your next car come back here an address an specific issues. Theirs enough educated enthusiasts on this forum were you shouldn't get too many fan boys in here giving you misguided info.
Which ever car you choose I wouldn't hold PDK/DCT as an option. Manual gearbox only in these cars or else your not getting the full experience they have to offer.

Ranger, I saw your GT3 for sale a bit earlier, absolutely stunning example, one of the few yellow cars I like. If I was in that price range, would have gladly taken her off your hands. My loss...
Needs? Don't have many needs, must be reliable, I drive a lot, 18-20k a year, and this would be the only car. Other than that, not too picky, don't need a lot of space or back-seat etc....And want to get into going up tot he track a couple times a month as well...
