[Vid] Modded E92 M3 DCT Vbox Results
I did some Vbox pulls today and managed to edge out my 10.87 wtih a 10.80 flat but on a flatter slope, 2.9 vs. now a 0.95%.
There was some slight wheel spin from 1st to 2nd that slightly does affect the time, so there is room for improvement with traction. But even more so I did a bit better in one run but missed 130 by 1.7 MPH! That run would could have been a 10.6.
Lifted too early. From 60-120 I was .2 tenths ahead of the 10.8 run, oh well doesn't count unless you hit 130, still very happy with the results.

I was also very happy with the 1/4 mile results on street tires, more so the traps as I could not launch, I had to go half throttle then get into it, but would always experience some wheel spin on the 1-2 shift, but I managed to hit:
60' - 2.32
1/8th - 8.24 @ 95.59 MPH
1/4 - 12.41 @ 119.55 MPH
With a good launch and solid conditions, 11's are easily doable on the Vbox, but we'll see if it translates to the track.
On the Vbox screen it said 12.2, but I was using the 1 foot rollout function which actually simulates real world 1/4 mile tracks, but the Vbox does not measure it that way in the graph for some reason. Here's a vid-

I will do that next time, thanks Brotha. There's still some functions on there I'm not sure of, next time in Mexico you gotta show me the best way to set it up for that.
Thanks man, next week should be fun!

From what I've seen they are very close, it seems the traps are a tad lower at the track, and the ET's are a tad better, lol, you never know, but I'd take a slip over a Vbox chart any day!
Should be fun next weekend, can't wait to see how your new setup does!

I usually bring my Vbox to the dragstrip to compare the numbers. They are very very close. Usually it will round up on the ET. So if it says 12.0, your timeslip will often say 11.97 or something. The MPH reads a little higher. Famoso will usually read about .9mph slower than the Vbox, and Sacramento about .6 mph slower. But that mostly has to do with the way the speed is calculated. The Vbox reads the speed right at the finish, the dragstrip is calculated by the time it takes to go across the distance between the trap lights. You might almost say the Vbox is the more accurate method. I can seriously detect a difference between left and right lanes at times. One lane will consistantly deviate a different mph compared to the other. Either way, it is pretty consistent. You simply figure in the mph adjustment, and you can pretty much know what your time slip is soon as you cross the finish line.
