Opinions on the 2011 Alpina B7.

Considering the 2011 B7 for purchase and wanted to get feedback from you all.
I'm looking at the AWD version and also considering the 2012 Audi S8 due to the AWD.
Thanks.

I doubt many people will be able to give you feedback on these low volume selling cars, especially since the models are brand new as well (second gen B7 and third gen S8).

Anyway I can tell you my dad has a 335XI (same BMW AWD system) and it works BETTER than Audi's Quattro. In an AWD Audi you feel a significant loss of power (at least in the previous model, I haven't driven an audi since 2004), the BMW awd works really wonderfully and you don't feel much difference (in the dry).

The best advise is go test drive both cars and see which one suits you best. But if you are considering the Audi because of the AWD think again, the BMW AWD works excellent.

Check M5Board for specific Alpina B7 information. There are a few new B7 Bi-Turbo owners there.

Out of the two, the B7 would be my choice but I'm biased towards BMWs. I wouldn't consider the Audi (as nice as it is) given a side by side choice.

Taking into account that you are in an area where there is a lot of snow fall i would go for the AWD, even though I am a BMW fan. Both cars look great in dark colors and both will obtain the attention you want. If you have other AWD cars in your garage i would recommend the B7, if not go for the S8

The new B7 comes in XI-drive, which is AWD. And I can report it work as good as Audi's Quattro if not better than it.

My bad for not looking into the specs, then I would definitely go for the B7
