Saw a black BMW 1M on 5 freeway today...WIDE rear...not bad. First thought it was an M3 or something...looks nice...gave him thumbs up

I know the 1er isn't for everybody but this 1M in real life looks the part of a true M. Looks like a hunkered down pitbull ready to strike.

I agree and that's why the exhaust is the first thing I'm changing.

my 1st week feedback on the car, it looks better in person no doubt. mainly because the extra flare on the fenders really show off better in person than in pictures. my biggest problem with the 1 Series style is the squashed styling; car is just too short for my liking. i still prefer the M3 style overall but the 1M offers a great package overall compare to its bigger brother.

now on the performance side, the turbo lag is pretty noticeable when not in the M mode. the car is much more livable when the M button is pressed. i don't really like the seating position. feels very high even at the lowest setting. i don't recall that in the M3. overall the car feels quick but not fast like i was expected. i've never driven a 135 so i don't know how much faster the 1M feels compare to the 135. this might be funny but i have to mention it. the 1M kinda reminds me of the EVO 8 i had. it's like the German version of the Japanese rice rocket. the car may feel better on track? but for daily use, i would probably take the DCT M3 over the 1M. just saying...
