Crashed E60 M5

My friend who works at the BMW dealership in Bala Cynwyd, Pa called me up to check out a crashed M5. Apparently service was delivering the car to the owners house. One block away from the Dealership, someone ran a red light and t-boned the M. Luckily no one was hurt. Obviously the owner was pissed, but I heard he was yelling and screaming at the service manager for a bit and didn't care about the drivers in the 2 cars. Typical ... should of just picked up the car yourself. I wouldn't have anyone drive my new M around .. no matter what. Also heard the engine was destroyed.

Here's some pic's ......

Happy New Yrs and be safe everyone ..

$20 says the service people driving it were "testing it out" a bit too much

That's good to know that no one was hurt. Both cars look pretty bad but did well in protecting the drivers. Head on is serious even in city streets. Luckily it was a side impact which might be a lot worse.

I'd think the dealership's insurance would cover the losses since they're the ones driving it. Even if the owner paid the car already, he won't bear any loss esp the car is totalled and it's brand new. The only loss he might bear is any amt over MSRP that ins won't pay. He should be glad that he wasn't driving it.
