BMW e70 x5 4.8o with hesitation between shifts transmission
Hello everyone, need some help. I have a 2007 x54.8i with 110k. Had all my fluids changed including transmission Tech used same oil saying it has properties in oil new from factory. He changed filter and round sleeve. It was leaking so this fixed it and added a few quarts to top off. Car sat for a few months and changed rear bags and compressor. Now transmission is hesitating under rpm between 2nd and 3rd. It shifts fine but hesitates with the normal rpms within these gears. Gear 1,4,5,6 no issues. When real cold all shifts are smooth. After 15 min it starts, almost like its a miss but no motor problems. What can it be? I mentioned to tech and he said maybe transfer case issue starting. For 3 weeks driving and still no check engine light ever????? Could it be the bridge seal or tubes?? Reprogrammed since power was disconnected for air compressor.
please......need some opinions....thank you

You'll want a new mechanic - he should know you must clear the adaptive values
the ZF transmission you have has a learning ability, of which the quality of fluid can effect. Once new fluid is in, it must re-learn.

Hello,
thank you for your response. He did the reset. So here is where it gets weird. I forgot to mention something so I am really looking for a response. My 2007 BMW e70 is a 4.8i with sport suspension. The tires that came with car new were the 255/50/19, style 211 rims. I researched and discovered that there was optional style 214 rims staggered available. I thought I read it had to be a 4.8i (N62TU) with sport suspension (P330A) which my car has. Last 7 vin is LZ42221. I purchased OEM style 214 rims and bought new tires (275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear). Circumference is 90 front and 90.12 per tire spec. I put on vehicle and made sure casting numbers were OEM. I forgot about me changing the rims and this is around the time of the hesitation in low gears under RPMs. I had the BMW tech who works at a BMW dealership look at it again, no transmission codes, no leaks. Thought Transfer case may be binding. Today I put my stock wheels back on for winter, getting cold in Ohio and all the hesitation is gone. It runs perfect???????
Does the tranny or something electrical need coded for these optional rims?? I am at a complete loss. I also want to note when I did the tranny filter the BMW tech used the same oil and only added 2 quarts. said something about additives with OEM is better to keep in.
Please any suggestions because I really like the new rim setup but they are much heavier than the stock ones that came on the car
