M3 or R8

I'm on the list with Vista bmw for the new M3 they told me they would recieve their first truck load as soon as september. But Im kind of torn whether to keep my M3 position or spend twice as much on an 08' Audi r8 Lemans concept. Only 300 will be shipped to the US with a v10 that boasts 610bhp. What do you guys think? Get the M. Or spend twice the price?
My new M prices out at 68,900.00 loaded. The r8 will run me 129,500.00 but it would be like driving the I robot car.

I really don't think it even will be released in Europe before september, let alone in showrooms here in the U.S.
And almost 70K for the new M3? Sounds a bit too high, how did you get that number?
Oh well, what do I know.

New M3

It's a 2007, so naturally it will debut fall of 06 which is Sep. Anyway, I put a 5,000.00 deposit down to ensure my spot. The car is coming white, fully loaded, convertable hardtop!!!!!!! and optional 7 speed smg, which I haven't made a decision on yet whether smg or 6spd. Yes, the price for a conv. hardtop is almost 70k. believe it or not, I paid 57k for my base coupe in 02' when the conv. where going for 62-63k. I've allready sold my 996tt and will trade in my 02' m3. This was a great decision to consolidate 2 cars into 1 daily driver that I feel comfortable puting the miles on. I should be happy with the car being that it boasts adequate bhp and can take all the miles I throw at it.

No offense Josh, but your dealer IS FULL OF IT if he told you they'd be getting them in September '06. They will be getting the E92 COUPE late summer, certainly not the new M3. The new M3 may not even be made in a cab (hope not)
No M3 pricing has been released.

Yeah sounds like your dealer is full of it
I'm guessing Q2-3 2007.

I think the M3 will come in both sedan, cab and maybe even as a station wagon!

Yeah, I've seen the recent cab spy shots, that's too bad. Wagon would be great though.
