Thinking about a 2007+ Cayman S, what are the MUST HAVE options?
I know I want a 6speed and Nav, but how can I tell the car has the PCM and not just the Chrono Package? Any major difference between the '07 and '08 MY's?
Thanks

I believe the PCM option would have a button next to or by the sport button that has a picture of a shock on it .07 -08 same car as far as I know ( I have an 07) the 2010 is different .
Must have options are just a personal preference
PCM,Sport chrono,Nav with Bose and your good to go. those are the best ones in my opinion the aftermarket will take care of the rest .
good luck on your hunting

If you have GPS you have PCM.
For me the must-haves:
Sport-seats
Sport-steering wheel
19" rims
GPS
edit: forgot Xenon, thought they were stock

Sport seats, sport wheel, and Xenon's are options that I would get again. I would seriously consider PASM on an 08' or older. On a long road trip my non-PASM Cayman with 18" wheels can wear on my middle aged body!
If you commute through rough roads at all, I strongly recommend PASM and the 18s.
PASM; 19's; Sport seats; sport wheel; full leather (this people might argue with, but I like to feel like the car is worth what I paid).

The one option that was not available when I built my car that I wish I had were the “Sport Bucket Seats”, aka the 997 GT2 seats. There not for everyone, mostly due to the lack of vertical height adjustment, but on the cars I have driven with them I have found them to be most comfortable.
