New 09 Cayman S Owner!

I just drove my new 09 Guards Red Cayman S home from the dealership! It is working great , of course. I am especially impressed with the quality of everything so far (buttons, shifting, fit and finish).
Sticker was 66k and I got it for 60.5k. Should I have tried harder? The salesman made me feel like I got a real steal. Either way I am happy. Thanks, Fun Bob

I'll try to post some pics asap.
No PDK for me with this slick 6 speed. It feel like the shifter is moving in a tub of Mrs. Butterworth's syrup. Smooth!! Cornering speed......you know the story. Every interactions exudes quality.

Now my sales guy said my tires will last 12k if I baby it. Ouch, Is that true?? It was pretty funny that he mentioned that just as I was rolling out the door

Thanks! Actually it's an 08 Hayabusa.

I test drove: 2 07 Caymans S's
09 370z
05 Carrera S
09 C63 AMG

The Cayman was the best choice for me so I ponied up for the 09.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially since you're happy! The red/tan is a nice classic color combo. Enjoy it...let the modding begin!

I'm even more impressed by the Triumph S3 sitting behind that 'Busa

Great choice on the 2009 CS. I test drove a couple of 2008's and the improvements in the 09's made the decision an easy choice for me too.

Best of luck and don't worry about the tires... drive her like she was meant to be driven.

Thanks guys. Glad to hear I did ok. There sure is a lot of rubber build up behind the tires after 80 miles. At first I thought it was a little dirt.....but I am getting up to speed on things

What do you mean by rubber building up behind the wheels?

The black rubber from the tires gets flung onto the car in the wheel well area. I thought it was a little dirt spray at first

That's the tire dressing the dealer put on your tires. It's a pain.

Can't beat that color combination, I have a Boxster with that combo and it is a classy look. Enjoy! Don't use tire foam and you will have much less cleanup.
