Updated Pics of the Phat Ba$tard

986 and 987's will always be the fat cousin of the 914 to me but here are latest pics of my attempt to make 986/987 a real sports car. 2000 lbs of pure fun! And it only uses a stock 2.5 to make it go just as fast as those big turbo powered cars on the track or AX.

Very nice. At the price these are starting to fall into they make a great platform for a dedicated racer. If only I had the garage space.

That must be a blast to track, just curious if you have ever been tempted to sneak it out for a coffee run on the weekends and I am guessing your running straight pipes ?

looking nice, can't wait to hear what you think of it on the track.

by the way, how much weight did you save by removing the windshield and frame?

Yes I'm an ex-914 guy of 30 plus years. Taking on the Boxster platform

Took the car to SCCA National Tour a couple weeks ago. My co-driver shook things up on Saturday by taking 1st place against a national level BMW and ended up in Second place at a national level event by the end of the second day only losing by 7/10ths of a second. Not bad for a stock 2.5 liter car with some cheap coilovers!

Hmmm turbo 2.5 motor. LOL!
