TPC or Wheels?!

It's a tough one for me! So I'm leaving it to the forum!

The tpc turbo kit or the dpe sp-sc5 wheels + springs?

Well, No serious plans for the track or shows. Maybe for fun someday. A weekend car mostly. Thanks for the input! +1 for turbo!

turbo for sure. I'm in the same predicament but already have a credit with my wheel company.

Depends what you are personally more passionate about, however, I will say that I am waiting for TPC to finish the Turbo system for the Spyder. Look up the video of the system on Accumoto.com (And no, I don't work for them, but they have done the customization to my Spyder here in WI) and that may help answer the question. That car easily eats up GT3's...hmmmmmmm. Your choice, either way you can't go wrong.

my vote is for the turbo setup. i think the performance gains in speed would outweigh benefits from wheel/spring set up.

If TPC fits your budget, then go for it.

Thanks guys for all the input. It only confirmed my original conclusion. And you are right Scott, they are not even remotely in the same price range, that's why I need to choose one or the other and can't afford to just do it all like a lot of guys on here could. Talking to Tom at TPC only reinforced the consensus. TPC seems like a great company to work with.

TPC churn out good products. That said, I would suggest doing thorough research on their turbo kit as the power vary by a bit between different owners. I know a couple of folks who have their kits and ended up shipping/driving their cars to TPC for tuning to meet the expectations.
If getting "generic" higher HP is good enough, then you will be happy with the kit. They make gobs of HP. If you are a owner who demands HP come close/meet what's advertised (or more)... you may want to factor in additional dyno tuning at TPC.

I have no horse in this race. Since it sounds like you're relatively new to this level of mod, just want to share what I've read/talked to other TPC owners.

Thanks Casey. I am relatively new to forced induction. How would the new system differ. I know you said a different compressor trim (I really dont know what that refers to) but what will this new system accomplish. Thanks again.
