Hello folks. Just bought a 2011 Boxster, Meteor/black. Just wondering any tips or tricks for these new models. I wanted to avoid the direct injection engine because of carbon build up so I went with the port injection.

So you bought the Base model instead of the S. Congratulation on your purchase. Not much to worry about except change your oil more often then the dealer recommendation. Enjoy the car and drive it the way it was meant to be.

 

Might want to buy a battery maintainer if you don't plan on the driving the car often. Enjoy.

Hello to new member! I tried many S but got a base instead with a good "track record"

 

I would recommend reading the FAQ on Planet-9 and browse through the forums, much more active Boxter/Cayman community there.

 

I agree, I have seen may avatars here that are on planet-9 as well.
